Suffix for Counters

We have grouped a small set of 10 JLPT N5 Japanese kotoba that are used as suffix to count objects, people, animals, birds etc…

Note: You must know Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji to learn them.

This is a easy milestone to cross because you have to attach "suffix" to numbers producing the counting of that number. That is all. Looking at the Japanese writing you can easily understand the counting. However you will have to take care of the reading for Japanese words.

List of JLPT N5 words that are suffixes used to represent counting of objects, people, animals, etc…

〜ねん ~Nen ~Years
週間 〜しゅうかん ~Shuukan … Weeks
〜こ ~Ko Counter For Small Objects
〜さつ ~Satsu Counter For Books
〜だい ~Dai Counter For Machines
〜ひき ~Hiki Counter For Animals
~ほん ~Hon Counter For Long Objects
〜まい ~Mai Counter For Thin Objects
〜にん ~Nin Counter For People

Now you have completed learning them. Congrats. This is a "small success" and a step ahead to completing all JLPT Level N5 Vocabulary.
